Do you know a Hearts-a-bustin-with-love? Euonymus americana. It's in fr= uit now and is a spindly, sparse kind of shrub with green stems. Grows i= n shade and is common in most of TN. Have a look on maybe NatureServe or= the PlantDatabase and see what you think. I've seen this shrub thing twice, once yest= erday and I have one on property in Perry County. Dry upland. Both are = about 4 feet tall, not bushy, the most distinctive feature being the frui= t. I can't find it in= the wildflower or tree field guides that I have.
