I had my first Dickcissels for the spring yesterday in Lake County along the
levee and in my yard in the Mt. Orange community of Gibson County west of
Trenton.

Rose-breasted Grosbeaks finally showed up in my yard this morning and I heard
several "chinking" in the trees. Blue Grosbeak male has set up his territory
again this year and can be heard singing throughout the day.

Good birding,

Mark Greene
