What a great day yesterday!!. Chris Sloan, Portia Macmillan and Scott
Somershoe came down from Nashville and captured and banded the beautiful male
Calliope Hummingbird. He is really a neat little bird, very small. He was
here at 6:12 am and sat right on the feeder for several very long drinks and
stayed for about 2 1/2 minutes and then made a return visit at 6:42. Yesterday
there was a longer time between visits and I suspect partly because of the
warmer weather.
Visitors are welcome.
