A nice visit to Radnor Lake this morning, my first as a Middle Tennesee
resident.
Lot's of wild turkeys around including a nice look at a displaying tom near
the east parking lot and heard a lot of gobbling off to the north.
I observed 2 prothonotary warbler males chasing and singing at each other
along the lake near the steel barricades. Also a Louisiana water thrush
near the same area.
Heard 2 FOY wood thrushes singing along the road between the east parking
lot and the lake and saw another along the road to ranger house.
Also had a nice look a two male wood ducks preening on a log.
Lots of Carolina chickadees, tufted titmice, downy and red-bellied
woodpeckers, and yellow-rumped warblers.
