Dec. 30, 2009 Shelby Farms Shelby Co. TN The Darth Vader of the bird world was found on a Shelby Farms drive through, along with two other western Red-tails. One of this buddy pair of calurus Red-tails had an extensive over bite evidently due to some form of damage to its lower mandible. I also looked through the Ring-billed Gulls hoping for another Christmas Glaucous but NADA. Now off toward Reelfoot to search for one last good bird for 2009, it has been a great kick, sharing good birds with good friends!! I've posted a few photos at; http://www.pbase.com/ol_coot/birds_2009&page=16 Good Birding !!! Jeff R.
