I did my hour stationary backyard count again this morning and then walked along Big Daddy's Creek and the bluffs nearby in Fairfield Glade. The trail I follow is marked but is quickly becoming overgrown. I attempted to follow it further, as I thought it would loop back to a point near where I started(a marked overlook). It did not. It broke out at a 4 way dirt track intersection. I followed one of the dirt tracks that led along the bluff edge back the direction I came from, but it edged away from the bluff edge and hit a different gravel road(different from the one that led to the overlook). From this point I doubled back, as I didn't want to get lost. Now that it's May ebird has most birds listed normally for the county. I didn't realize American Woodcock, Acadian Flycatcher, and Baltimore Oriole were unusual in Cumberland County as they are still coming up as rarities. I am guessing Acadian Flycatcher do not normally arrive until later in May to the county.
