Tn-birders,
Dollyann and I found Cove Lake state park in Campbell County to be full of
waterfowl this morning at 10 am.
Quick highlights:
Red-breasted Merganser 2 males
Northern Pintail - 3 birds, 2 males
Common Goldeneye-1 Male
Lesser Scaup-about 300
American Wigeon, a few
Ring-necked Ducks
Most of the birds are down near the fishing pier, but there are several up
near the restaurant as the lake is flooded and the water is out in the
grassy field below the rest.
