Apologize for the redundant post, missed where Stephen had already posted
basically same info.

Spent a few hours at Duck River this morning, and had the pleasure of birding
with Stephen Zipperer and Greg Tomerlin who arrived minutes after I did at the
Pumphouse Levee. The three young Roseate Spoonbills were immediately visible
from here, though distant in the top of a tall cypress several hundred yards
out from the pumphouse. Nothing else of much note here, though large flock of
White Pelicans was in distance.
Blue Goose Drive produced lots of Great Egrets, several Snowy and Little Blues,
good numbers of Cattle Egrets, and the Wood Stork perched in a cypress in the
last wet spot on the left as you leave Blue Goose Drive. The Anhingas were on
the island out in the Duck River, though never got up and soared or perched up
in an exposed perch while we were there. Otherwise, not much to report. No
terns or gulls of any species, and only shorebird other than Killdeer was
single..... Solitary Sandpiper.
I've got a few photos on a couple of eBird checklists for anybody interested,
will get some up on Pbase soon as well.
