Jan Shaw and I met Gary Casey at Shelby Bottoms in Nashville this morning, in hopes of finding Gary his life Connecticut Warbler. We were rewarded with at least 3 singing Connecticuts, one of which Gary got a brief, but very close up look at. Two of the birds were at the first bridge on the paved trail, just after you leave phase 1 and enter phase 2. The third bird was on the border of phase 1 and 2, where the paved trail crosses a creek. A Warbling Vireo nest was found in Shelby Park as well, making this the third year they have nested in the same tree.
