25 February 2007 Carter and Sullivan Counties This morning, J.T. McNeil and I observed three Eurasian Collared-Doves in Carter County, TN. The birds were spotted on telephone wires at the intersection of Blue Springs Road and Steel Bridge Road in the Stoney Creek area (Elizabethton, TN). To my knowledge, this is the first record for Carter County. Later in the morning, we found four Cackling Geese in Sullivan County, TN. They were found in a corn stubble field on King Lane (off Virginia 75-Tennessee 44). These birds were probably part of the same group that were reported from nearby Pemberton Road earlier in the week. Thomas S.
