Coleman Pond
Davidson Co., TN
2015 Feb. 18

On my lunch break this Thursday I went to northern Davidson Co. to
see if the female COMMON MERGANSER, first found by Phillip Casteel
on Feb. 7 at Coleman Pond, was still around. I could not initially
find it on the water, but then I walk a few yards along the edge
of the large pond and found it on land at the water's edge where
some of the gulls and MALLARDs hang out. The ROSS'S GOOSE that
was found the same day as the merganser was NOT around today
when I was there.
