Looked at the Hillsboro pond 2 miles North of the Grundy Co. Line in Coffee Co.
today on way to Chattanooga. Didn't have our scope with us so couldn't pin
down the 6-8 smaller sandpipers but an easy get was a beautiful Black-bellied
Plover along the back side and a Great Egret. This pond has stayed wet for
the first time in memory across the summer and should be on the route for any
birders in the area. It's currently holding 5-10 acres of water.
