Feedback wanted! All breeding season, I've had a very vocal Chuck will's widow
calling up in my woods from about 10 pm to midnight. This guy sings exclusively
from the woods, moving within a 500x150-foot area of trees (500 ft parallel to
the edge of the woods, and 15 to 150' into the trees), never down in the ample
pastures and early succession growth across the road. I didn't know that cwws
would do this -- I lived across from prime cww territory for 20 years and they
were always in the fields. Please let me know your experiences w/ these birds &
their nesting areas. Thanks very much.
