Chris O'bryan and I conducted a Chimney Swift count at the historic water plant 
along Riverside drive in Clarksville tonight for the Swift Night Out survey. We 
counted only 4 swifts entering the massive chimney between 7:07 and 7:30pm. 
Swift counts here in the past have yielded hundreds of birds. Not sure exactly 
what the reason for the decline is, but the aging chimney is starting to 
crumble on the exterior in several places.
