Here are the highlights of the TOS fieldtrip to the Brainerd Levee on
October 5:
- 2 Lesser Yellowlegs
- 3 Sora
- 6 Marsh Wrens
- 4 Sedge Wrens
-1 female Boblink
-1 Willow Flycatcher
- first Yellow-rumped Warblers of fall
- first Ruby-crowned Kinglet of fall

The frist Yellow-bellied Sapsucker of fall was seen at Amnicloa Marsh on
October 5. (Libby Wolfe)

Six Bobolinks were seen at the riverport on October 5. (Libby Wolfe)

The first report of Swamp Sparrow for the fall came from Standifer Gap marsh
on October 6. (Kevin Calhoon)

The greenway below Chickamuga Dam still has good flocks of migrating
songbirds.  A Philadelphia Vireo and Black-throated Blue Warbler were seen
there recently. (Libby Wolfe)

Be on the lookout for more fall migrants and also the first winter residents
of the year.

The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on November 14 at
7:00
PM at the Accension Luthern Church 720 South Germantown Road.
