Hello TN Birders, At a little past 11:00 AM yesterday (Friday), I pulled into the parking lot at the animal hospital on Harding Place just east of the intersection with Harding Road to which I was taking two of my poodles for their "spa bath." A flock of 30 cedar waxwings were in a tree about 100 feet east beside Richland Creek which is the former location of the Nashville Humane Society. Since that is in our count area, Tarcila Fox and I will be on the lookout for those lovely little cedars there and around Belle Meade, etc. on count day. Hope Saturday's predicted bad weather will bring us some real "goodies" on Sunday. If any of you Belle Meade/West Meade/Charlotte Park area people have any super species such as red-breasted nuthatches, pine siskins, purple finches. brown creepers or any other "uncommon birds" coming to your feeders, please send me an E-Mail so we can try to get them for the count in our area. Thanks.
