Gilbert Derouen, Reece Jamerson and Bryan Stevens found two Caspian Terns at
Musick's Campground, South Holston Lake, Sullivan Co., TN, about 4:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, April 18.
Also present were Bonaparte's Gulls, many in breeding plumage, and
Ring-billed Gulls, as well as four Blue-winged Teal and an Osprey.

In the TWRA Access Area near Musick's, we heard and saw two White-eyed Vireos
and heard a Gray Catbird.

We also counted three Green Herons at the nesting colony near the
intersection of Painter Road and Highway 44.

At Austin Springs, Boone Lake, Washington Co., TN, we had a Great Egret,
three Savannah Sparrows and Blue-winged Teal.

Near Winged Deer Park, Johnson City, Washington Co., TN, we observed an
Osprey harassing an immature Bald Eagle. The eagle had a mostly white head but
a
mostly dark body. On a couple of occasions, the eagle rolled onto its back
while
in flight, presenting its talons to the offending Osprey.

Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
