They drove 856 miles--that is some extreme birding! Beyond Texas there is a record of 231 from California, 230 from Wisconsin, and 229 from New Jersey. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> These are all State BIG DAYS, I'm talking about a one day total tic number regardless of location where one could add the most "Tics" to one's lost in one day. Where could you go and travel in any direction, any states and get 329 tics on your "Tic List" in a 24 hour Big Day. Location and driving time would be critical. The 100 species in each state was the goal we just set for the heck of it that day and "tics totals" were not thought about but a record for total tics in a day would be an interesting adventure. Anybody have any ideas?
