[TN-Bird] Cades Cove, GSMNP report

Kristine Johnson and I birded the east end of Cades Cove on Sunday,
March 9th. When we arrived at 9:15, we were surprised to find the
Cove covered in snow. It mostly melted by noon. Here is the list of
birds seen:

Black Vulture 2
Turkey Vulture 5
Northern Harrier 2
Red-shouldered Hawk 1
Wilson's Snipe 1
Red-bellied Woodpecker 1
Downy Woodpecker 3
Eastern Phoebe 3
Blue Jay 2
American Crow 17
Carolina Chickadee 4
Tufted Titmouse 5
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Carolina Wren 4
Eastern Bluebird 22
American Robin 170
Brown Thrasher 1
Eastern Towhee 1
Savannah Sparrow 2
Song Sparrow 8
Swamp Sparrow 5
Dark-eyed Junco 15
Eastern Meadowlark 16
American Goldfinch 1
Susan Hoyle
