All,
The 20th annual Cades Cove CBC was held on 29 December 2019 with 19
participants in nine parties and two feeder watchers. Although foggy in
the morning, it was a mild day with light wind and no precipitation for a
change.
62 species were recorded which is the average for this count. Three
Brown-headed Nuthatches and a Short-eared Owl seen in the usual place
(Hyatt Lane in Cades Cove) were the most unusual species. Waterfowl were
mostly absent or seen in very low numbers. No vultures were observed.
Thanks to everyone who participated!
