[tn-bird] CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS at Standifer Gap Marsh, Hamilton, co.

Two CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS were found by Libby Wolfe and Janice Chadwell
today (Oct. 1) at the Standifer Gap Marsh. They were last seen about 1:15
PM EST. The birds are being seen on both sides of the gravel road that
transects the marsh,just before you enter the marsh.
These are probably only the fifth or sixth record for the state!!
Here are directions: from I-75 get off at the Shallowford road exit and
take a right (coming down from the north). Take a right at Lee highway at
the light. Take a left at the next light onto Standifer Gap road follow it
to the light at the intersection with Hickory Valley road and proceed
through the light staying on Standifer Gap. Look for a small church on
right (made out of trailer buildings) and take the right just before the
church. You will see themarsh on your left. Follow this road along the
marsh until it dead ends with the road that transects the marsh. Take a
left towards the marsh.
