David Trently just called (12:45 on Saturday) from a KTOS field trip to Kyker Bottoms in Blount Co., TN, with a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW. The sparrow had been seen repeatedly and was seen while we we're talking. Directions from David: park at the new gravel parking lot and walk down into the fields, turn back towards the barn on your right, cross the dyke and look for a large cedar tree (apparently only one in the area). The sparrow was in the fencerow around this tree. Other good birds at Kyker this morning were Sedge and Marsh Wrens and 2 Sora.
