Eleven birders conducted the 41st Buffalo River CBC yesterday, December 16. Data from one party is still not included but the other five groups tallied 84 species. Best birds were a Greater Scaup, 29 flyover Am. White Pelicans (first count, and probsbly first county, record, a Palm Warbler, a House Wren and two Lapland Longspurs. The regular highlight of this count is Loggerhead Shrikes. This year, 38 were counted, and one party's data is still to be added.
