Last Wednesday, when Angela Hoffman and I arrived at Louisville Point Park, she said, "This looks like great Brown-headed Nuthatch habitat." She opened the car door and we immediately heard one singing. We had visuals of two (stereotypically eating from pine cones) while a third was singing, so there were at least three but probably four. This was on the end of the peninsula on the turn-around. There were also some Bufflehead, American Coots, and other birds present, but I wasn't keeping notes. Robin Barrow reporting from Blount Co.
