Greetings TN-Birders

At around 2 P.M. today, when I went to pick up my little poodle, Magnolia,
at Dr. Burgess' office (formerly Greene Animal Hospital) on 106(?) Harding
Place near Harding Road, I heard some crows raising a real ruckus. I
looked up and saw two gorgeous adult broad-winged hawks soaring so close that I
didn't even need binoculars in order to identify them. It was a
spectacular sight.

I have had plenty of hummingbirds since September 1, and they are still
coming.

For a week, a pair of gray catbirds have been in the grapevines which line
my deck. The vines have been full of wild grapes, and I've had many, many
of the regulars feeding constantly.
