Hello Birders,

Here in the Charlotte Park section of West Nashville, my bossy mockingbirds
have babies in a nest across the street. On Wednesday (April25), BOTH
parents began coming to the feeder and hauling peanut butter away in their
filled
beaks. This morning, I finally felt "strong" enough to go outside and watch
where they went. I didn't have to SEE; I heard the baby mocks squawking for
food! The little brood is keeping the parents busy hauling PB and keeping ME
busy refilling the orange halves with it. I guess my mockingbird season has
started and will occupy my time, as this is the family of mockingbirds that
starts producing early and keeps a nest full of babies going all the way up to
October! My work is cut out for me, and my peanut butter budget just
increased!

Super birding!

Dee Thompson
Nashville, TN.
