Hello Birders, Here in the Charlotte Park section of West Nashville, my bossy mockingbirds have babies in a nest across the street. On Wednesday (April25), BOTH parents began coming to the feeder and hauling peanut butter away in their filled beaks. This morning, I finally felt "strong" enough to go outside and watch where they went. I didn't have to SEE; I heard the baby mocks squawking for food! The little brood is keeping the parents busy hauling PB and keeping ME busy refilling the orange halves with it. I guess my mockingbird season has started and will occupy my time, as this is the family of mockingbirds that starts producing early and keeps a nest full of babies going all the way up to October! My work is cut out for me, and my peanut butter budget just increased! Super birding!
