TN Birders:
Quite honestly, the increased cost for TN vanity plates caught us a little off
guard as well. I was not aware of it until I received my vehicle registration
renewal last week. I have passed everyone's concerns on to Larry Marcum, Chief
of Wildlife, and will post them here as soon as he has an answer for us.
Technically, it seems like the bluebird plates should fall in the same class as
the Friends of the Smokies plates, meaning the extra money goes to the plates
intended purpose. Until we know otherwise, let's hold off from bending our
bluebird plates over anyone's head. Not that anyone has suggested it yet, but
I was afraid of where this might be going.
