This is a re-send of the message that we sent Friday but did not appear on TN-BIRD: Tom Howe's American Bittern was still at Whites Mill Refuge on Whites Mill Road in Blount County this afternoon, Friday, April 3. We found it probably near where Ron Hoff and Dollyann Myers found it Wednesday by walking left on the dike, parallel with the road. It was a few feet to the right of the dike. It flushed and flew almost to the dike at the far back and landed. The TWRA website has a map of the location. We also saw: 2 Wood Ducks 3 Barn Swallows 3 Northern Rough-winged Swallows Steve & Gail Clendenen Farragut, Knox County =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
