I went out on our backporch this afternoon to get video of our reliable Eastern Wood Pewees, and wound up getting video of this immature Black-throated Green instead: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ed_schneider/4925020930/ This is an early date for our yard (in the three Falls we've counted), as was the one immature Black-and-white on the same oak tree. These two birds appeared one after another, then an immature Northern Parula dropped in. Parula breed in the yard, and are still on territory, so I'm unsure if this is a transient bird or a local; I'm guessing the latter. Other birds of note during my 20 minutes looking in the yard were: Blue-winged Warbler - 1 Kentucky Warbler - male - still on territory in our woods Red-eyed Vireo - 2 White-eyed Vireo - 1 Yellow-throated Vireo - 1 Ed Schneider Whites Creek, Tn Davidson Co. =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
