[TN-Bird] Re: Blackpolls - no shortage in NW TN

I got another private note from Henry County to the same effect. This suggests it is the weather and the landing patterns of the arriving migrants, not any real population effect, which is a good thing. This fine spring weather may be rough on some bird lists, but it is excellent for the migrating birds themselves!

I have had more Blackpolls in my yard here in Gibson County than normal as well so the shortage of Blackpolls would not appear to apply to West Tennessee or at least northwest TN.
