Spent Tuesday afternoon (6-30-09) birding Shelby Co, TN. With some nice tips from Jeff Wilson I was able to locate 7 Black-bellied whistling ducks along with 3 least terns at TVA Lake; Black-necked stilts and dickcissels at the Pits; my life Tennessee male Painted bunting at Ensley Bottoms; plenty of Mississippi kites at President's Island along with a single Western kingbird and several common nighthawks and Eurasian collared doves; and several Fish crows at Shelby Farms on my way home. Thanks to Jeff for the posts.
