I would appreciate any advice and information about replacing the eyepiece
lenses on my binoculars. I have a rather fine pair of Nikon bins, whose
eyepiece lens I have unfortunately allowed to get considerably scratched.
Except for this flaw, they are really a nice pair of bins that are otherwise
in very good condition.
I am wondering two things chiefly: (1) First does it make sense to try to
get these lenses replaced in terms of costs, or should I just bite the
bullet and spend another $1,000 on a new pair. (2) If it is worth it, what
would be the procedure for getting them replaced?where would I send them,
how long would it take, about how much would it cost, etc.
Any information or stories of experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you Dev Joslin Monteverde, Costa Rica
