In my back yard! I was doing some yard work when I heard a song that reminded me of a white-eyed vireo on speed. I got a good look at the singer from about ten feet away, sitting in a fig tree. I realized that it was not a white-eyed when I saw that its eyes were dark. Also, it had no spectacles. Its breast was yellowish-green, so I then thought Philadelphia vireo. But there were wing bars. I checked with a couple of websites that feature birdsong and recognized the Bell's vireo song as the one I heard. Life bird for me!
