Bells Bend Park
Davidson Co., TN
16 Oct 2020

Went to Bells Bend Park again on this chilly but lovely
Friday morning and several birders were already there
or soon arrived, including Randy Harrod, Melissa James,
and Bob Ingle. It took a while, but the NELSON'S SPARROW
eventually put in an appearance or two, again in the
area around the small pond. While searching for the NELSON'S,
another sparrow of interest put in a distant appearance.
Fortunately, after some discussion and thanks to Melissa
James photos, we IDed it as a HENSLOW'S SPARROW. So a
wonderful rare sparrow morning, and hopefully the NELSON'S
will stay one more day for tomorrow's NTOS walk.
