Old Hickory Blvd -- Bells Bend

After walking around a completely frozen Radnor Lake with no
ducks on it this Friday morning, I drove to Bells Bend and
made my weekly search for the HARRIS'S SPARROW. Like Rick Houlk,
I found it with its usual WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW buddies along
the road side, perhaps 0.2 miles past mail box 3988 toward the
main sod farm fields. Thus, the sparrow has now been seen for
over 6 weeks.
The field behind where the HARRIS'S SPARROW was seen had a
huge flock of HORNED LARKs (150-200), but they were so far
away that I could not find a longspur among them.
