Happy Fourth of July weekend TN-Birders, Yesterday, as I got out of my car at the Shoney's on Hwy. 70 by the Regal Theater near I-40 in Bellevue, west of Nashville in Davidson County, I saw an adult bald eagle fly over headed in an ENE direction. Looked as if it had prey in its talons, but I wasn't fast enough in getting my binoculars on it to make sure. After breakfast, around 9 AM, as I drove south on Hwy. 70 from the Shoney's to get back onto I-40 to return to Nashville, there was a "roadkill" armadillo just at the start of the approach ramp off to I-40 East. They are moving in! In Florida, "roadkill" armadillo is about as common as "roadkill" opossum is here, possibly more so. Cheers and prayers, Dee Thompson Nashville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
