River Plantation Subdivision
Bellevue, Davidson Co., TN
2015 March 7

This Saturday morning about 6:25 am, before heading around J. Percy Priest Lake to bird, I checked my sidwalk area and found an
AMERICAN TREE SPARROW eating seed with a couple other sparrows.
In the afternoon about 4:15 pm I walked along the bluff several
hundred yards to the west of my home in Sec. X and found the
AM. TREE SPARROW in essentially the same spot as yesterday.

J. Percy Priest Lake
Davidson Co., TN

This Saturday morning I made several stops around J. Percy Priest Lake.
At Hamilton Creek I found little of interest. At the Elm Hill Rec.
Area I heard and then saw a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, which can be hard
to find in Davidson Co. Also, in the little inlet next to the marina
were 2 male WHITE-WINGED SCOTERs, perhaps part of the larger group
that was here last weekend. There were also several other duck species
including 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL. At Seven Point Rec. Area a half dozen
COMMON MERGANSERs continue, and I found a single HORNED LARK near the
boat ramp.

A nice morning of activity.
