All, Seems to be quite the year for irruptives! It is shaping up to be a MAJOR irruption of northern owls for the border states this winter. Closer to home, Bohemian Waxwings have been seen this week in central Illinois and the TX panhandle. And, that wonderful Northern Shrike just north of us in KY, has shown back up in the same area it was originally found last week. Maybe with a little luck, we can put TN into the Northern highlights this season as well! Good birding!!
