Good Morning... Last night we had an interesting occurance in our backyard at about 6 pm. I was setting the table for dinner and I heard the distinct call of a Barred Owl...not unusual as we have a "resident" Barred...but then I heard a quick response call and it seemed like it was very close. I glanced out back and there sitting not 20 ft off our deck were TWO Barred Owls sitting together on a branch. I quickly ran for my camera and was able to snap a few pictures before one flew off and then the other followed. It always amazes me the silence of their flight for such a large bird! Needless to say it was a pleasant surprize and a great end to a good day. Happy Birding...
