I went To Bells Bend this morning in hopes of seeing the Barn Owl. I was
rewarded with his presence with a brief look, but unfortunately flushed him
almost immediately. I did not go into the barn, but my approach to the the
corner of the door was enough to spook him. In hindsight it may have been
better if I had stayed perhaps forty feet in front of the building where could
have been observed and probably not spooked. I encourage any others who
attempt to see him should he by chance return to observe from a good distance.
My apologies to Jan Shaw and Mike Smith who came later to see this beautiful
bird.
