On a quick stop @ USN Wetlands off Briley Pkwy (155) this afternoon I saw a single Baltimore Oriole near the top of a leafless willow... seems early, but I guess they do over-Winter in N. GA according to range maps; maybe this was a short distance migrant. Also had 5 Rusty Blackbirds there doing their thing, and a N. Mockingbird singing a near perfect Common Yellowthroat song. No Tree Swallows present yet. Around 10:30am I saw my FOS Broad-winged Hawk soaring over our house. So neat to see them in SE Costa Rica just 5 weeks ago, and they're already here.... Good birding!
