Cove Lake State Park Campbell County, TN There were two adult Bald Eagles at Cove Lake State park the last two days. They have been less frequent this year than the past couple years. American Coot numbers are very low this year also, which may be why they have not been around as much They seem to be one of their favorite meals. They tend to hang around on the "Interstate side" of the lake closest to the road and can be easy to miss unless you scan the tree tops for the white heads. Quite a few Green-Winged Teal were present today on the large part of the lake, and 4 in the back campground swampy area as well as 68 Hooded Mergansers. 1 Black Duck was also present.
