Finally at home for a weekend and had a few nice birds in between honey-dos. All from the yard and neighborhood in west Knox County on Sunday, 7 November: American Woodcock, 1 fly-by at dusk while walking the hound Blue-headed Vireo, 1, maybe Carole's bird from Sat moved a mile up the road. Second year in a row that I've extended my late date for this species by 1 day. Purple Finch, 1 female/immature, my first this fall Hoardes of Am Robin in the yard all weekend coming and going from the roost at Hardin Valley exit on Pellissippi.
