I had three winter plumaged American Avocets late this afternoon in the far
south cove of Gibson County Lake, along Concord Cades Rd. The water is very low
with lots of exposed mudflats right now, creating some good shorebird habitat.
I also had:
Killdeer - 34Least Sandpipers - 16Dunlin - 1Wilson's Snipe - 5Great Egret -
6Bald Eagle - 3
This is my second record for avocets on this lake.
