A single AMERICAN AVOCET came in to Snow bunting peninsula in North
Nashville this morning shortly after sunrise. It circled several times
before landing over by the old hickory beach area, where it seemed comment
to forage until a maintenance vehicle drove over to empty trash bins and
flushed it around 8:45am. The bird flew back over there peninsula and
across the water and out of sight to the east. It could possibly have gone
over to Rockland or Drake's Creek area in Sumner County.
There was also a continuing Osprey which is still hanging around.
