Allan Trently, a natural heritage biologist with the Tennessee Valley Authority is driving up from Norris, TN near Knoxville to be the banquet speaker. Allan is well known for his graduate studies of the Common Raven, as a field technician with the South Appalachian Highlands Conservancy at Roan Mountain and research of the Golden-wintged Warbler breeding population at Hampton Creek Cove State Natural Area in Carter County. You do not have to be a member to attend. $21.00 per person. The banquet will be Friday, Sept. 21st at 6:30 pm. BBC has to turn in its final reservation numbers Monday. From US 11E at the Bristol Motor Speedway, follow TN Rt 394 four lane as you would to South Holston Lake. Rt. 394 ends at its intersection with US 421. Turn right or south on US 421 and The Centre is the next driveway to the right just a hundred yards are so up the hill. From Abingdon, VA take Va Route 75 from the Exit 17 of I-81 (or otherwise known as Cummings St) and travel south towards South Holston Lake until you come to the Tennessee stateline. The route number then becomes TN Rt. 44. A few miles further you intersect US 421. Follow US 421 north towards Bristol until you are within sight of the traffic light at TN Rt 394. The Centre driveway is on the left and just a hundred yards are so before you reach 394. From downtown Bristol pick up US 421 south towards South Holston Lake and Mountain City. As you begin to leave the more populated portion of Bristol Tennessee, you will come to the traffic light at TN Rt 394. Continue straight ahead up the hill about a hundred yards to the driveway into The Centre. It is located on the right.
