The Centre, located on US 421 Hwy. just south of Bristol Tennessee,
is the venue for next Friday's annual banquet of the Bristol Bird Club.
If you decide between now and Monday to attend, call BBC President
Dave Worley at 276-971-7244. You may also call Janice Martin at her
new address in Bristol Tennessee at 423-573-1829.

Allan Trently, a natural heritage biologist with the Tennessee Valley
Authority is driving up from Norris, TN near Knoxville to be the
banquet speaker.

Allan is well known for his graduate studies of
the Common Raven, as a field technician with the South Appalachian
Highlands Conservancy at Roan Mountain and research of the
Golden-wintged Warbler breeding population at Hampton Creek
Cove State Natural Area in Carter County.

You do not have to be a member to attend. $21.00 per person. The
banquet will be Friday, Sept. 21st at 6:30 pm.

BBC has to turn in its final reservation numbers Monday.

From US 11E at the Bristol Motor Speedway, follow TN Rt 394 four
lane as you would to South Holston Lake. Rt. 394 ends at
its intersection with US 421. Turn right or south on US 421 and
The Centre is the next driveway to the right just a hundred yards are
so up the hill.

From Abingdon, VA take Va Route 75 from the Exit 17 of I-81 (or
otherwise known as Cummings St) and travel south towards South
Holston Lake until you come to the Tennessee stateline. The
route number then becomes TN Rt. 44. A few miles further you
intersect US 421. Follow US 421 north towards Bristol until you
are within sight of the traffic light at TN Rt 394. The Centre driveway
is on the left and just a hundred yards are so before you reach 394.

From downtown Bristol pick up US 421 south towards South Holston
Lake and Mountain City. As you begin to leave the more populated
portion of Bristol Tennessee, you will come to the traffic light at
TN Rt 394. Continue straight ahead up the hill about a hundred yards
to the driveway into The Centre. It is located on the right.
