It is a nice day so I stopped by the ponds at the Cornelia Fort section of
Shelby Bottoms around noon. I observed the following. On the ponds:
blue-winged teals, green-winged teals, northern shovelers. Around the ponds:
belted kingfisher, black-crowned night heron, great blue heron, eastern
meadowlark, purple martins flying near the boxes, and two screaming red-tailed
hawks. I did not see the Wilson's snipes. Still, I was tickled.
