I have posted a couple of photos from my day birding with Jeff and the Curtis's on Saturday. It had been a long time since I had been out (way too much work this summer), and Jeff had already hit all the highlights. I posted two photos of the basic-adult Baird's Sandpiper. Of course most of our fall Baird's are juvenile birds, and this is the farthest I've ever seen an adult into basic plumage. Pretty neat bird. I also posted a shot of a young Broad-winged Hawk that kept us company for a few minutes. These photos are in a new gallery, at: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/fall_07 , or you can just go to: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/image/83825885 which is the 1st image and then hit the next button to navigate to the other shots. It's getting about time for them to start to drawdown KY Lake, so hopefully I'll be out a little more from now on! Good Birding!!
