A Brown-headed Cowbird (oh, stop all your booing and hissing!) was on a feeder at our Blount County home today. It was the 91st species I've seen in the county this year. Now where can I find 9 more in the next week and a half? Charlie -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I saw my first one of the year in Germantown this week. BTW, I love the Abbey quote attached to your posts. It's one of my favorite Cactus Ed quotes. On another subject, I took a photo of what I think is an immature Red-Headed Woodpecker, but I can be sure. Anyone want to take a guess and confirm this ogive me the correct ID? http://www.jackburnslives.com/wildlifephotos/redhead2.jpg Beau Peyton Germantown, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
