Today it was hard to concentrate on my class with all the sparrows
about! Without really birding, I didn't see much in species, but the
numbers were wonderful. At least 100 sparrows, mostly song, with at
least a couple Swamp mixed in, in a field of scarcely 2 acres. Who
knows what goodie might have been lurking about.

I saw my first Walker Valley White-throated Sparrows of the year, as
well as my first Walker Valley House Wren of the year.

Walker Valley is where Tremont Road and the Middle Prong of the
Little River are located, in Great Smoky Mountains National Park,
Blount County, Tennessee.

Good day!

Charlie
